I have most of my account data backed up with a secondary program, which stores data locally, and I keep a second copy on a flash drive in case of a failure. In the Passwords settings tab (Avast! User Interface > Settings > Passwords Tab), everything is grayed out and I am unable to change anything. I currently am unable to sync Passwords data to my PC. I restarted my PC and used the same directory to reinstall the component. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Passwords component: Avast! user interface > Settings > Components Tab > Under the "Privacy" section, I revealed the "Uninstall Component" link from the drop-down option and uninstalled the component.Tried changing master password through the Passwords Mobile App, syncing and trying the new master password on the PC version.Tried syncing the data from the Passwords Mobile App in case master password was included.Tried updating the Avast! program and restarting my PC.Purchased a year subscription to Avast! Mobile Security. ![]() Installed, activated and used the Avast! Passwords App on my Android device.De-fragmented my HDD, Performed a cleanup and a Disk Check.Performed updates to multiple programs and tools.Changed some Windows settings (Display, Power, Notifications, Etc.).Uninstalled multiple programs from PC that I no longer use.Note: I am still able to access all of my Passwords data from the Mobile Version using the master password.ĭevice changes prior to this bug happening (PC and Mobile changes): I am entering the correct master password and it's no longer authenticated. Issues: I am no longer able to access Passwords or use the Passwords Plugin for my web browsers on the PC Version. I used the master password on both platforms and I've had no issue until today. I set up Passwords on my phone (Android) and after verifying my phone for Passwords use, everything worked fine. I set up a master password through the PC version so I could have the ability to sync my account data to other devices that I own. In the end, which password manager is best for you depends on what you’re looking for, but know that you’ll be in good hands with either one of these companies.Hello, I've recently started using the Password Management tool provided by Avast! Anti-Virus. However, Enpass provides its full array of password auditing for free, including warnings about data breaches. On top of that, unlike Enpass, Avast Passwords’ free subscription works on mobile. ![]() For example, if you’re already using Avast Antivirus, then adding Avast Passwords is pretty straightforward since you won’t even have to install additional software on your computer. But they’re a perfect fit for different types of users as well. Conclusionīoth Enpass and Avast Passwords are reliable password managers whose free plans are more than enough to cater to users who just want a place to save their credentials securely. ![]() This means that even if Avast is hacked, cyber criminals won’t be able to reach your data without your master key.Īvast Passwords’ free subscription already provides a decent password manager, but for as low as $1.53 per month, the software will also alert you of any data breaches and allows for the use of one-touch login on mobile. Avast uses end-to-end encryption and, since it doesn’t store your master password on its servers, it doesn’t have access to any information stored in your vault.
